Understanding Reactivity in Dogs

Some dogs have very big feelings when they see other dogs, and this behavior may be observed by barking, lunging, growling, or pulling.

This is a 5-hour workshop focused on reactivity in dogs, with a hands-on training portion.

Some of the topics covered:

  • What is leash reactivity, and how do dogs become reactive
  • Training solutions designed to help reactive dogs
  • Training games that are both fun for the human and the dog
  • How to incorporate enrichment into training

This class isn’t just for dogs who are reactive to other dogs; this class can be helpful for dogs who lunge at cars or other animals.

Dog aggression is beyond the scope of this class.
