Make a shelter pup’s day by taking them on a fun adventure with our brand new DOGGY DAY OUT program!

Tired of spending your days doomscrolling on the couch? Want to get some fresh air with an adorable fluffy buddy? Our Doggy Day Out Program is the solution for you!

Participants can take one of our adoptable dogs out on a field trip! We’ll provide all the supplies you need for your outing.

Want an extra fun place to visit on your field trip? We have a long list of ideas for destinations, including parks, trails, venues, and dog-friendly cafes for you to peruse.

This program is available from 11 AM to 4 PM Monday-Thursday.

How can I participate?

No appointment is necessary, simply stop by our adoptions desk to fill our your waiver and sign up when you’re ready to hit the ground, paws running!

Questions? Contact our adoptions team at (801) 261-2919 ext 227 or email us at [email protected]

Each dog will wear a Freedom harness, a double-clip leash, and an “Adopt Me” vest. Patrons will also be provided with a backpack of supplies for the outing containing poop bags, a water bottle, a seatbelt, a treat pouch/treats, and a car seat cover.

Upon returning, patrons are asked to complete a “Report Card” to tell us how the dog did during their adventure! There, you can upload photos that we can add to their profiles or share on social to help them find homes faster.
