Bela's Story

Bela pic

Last Saturday I adopted Bela, a 3 month old Russian Blue/mix kitten who is just the most affectionate and loving kitten ever. She has adjusted beautifully and is enjoying her new life.

Bela has a kitty tower and likes to look out the window where she can watch three active bird feeders. We call it her "kitty TV".

Please send along my thanks and these photos to Bela's (Formerly named Teagan) to her foster mom, Elizabeth Stalling, and let her know that Bela is safe, warm, well fed, and well loved!

Sincerely,
Fred

Galaxy's Story

The day my fiancé and I adopted Galaxy "Lexi" we actually really had no intention of getting a puppy. We've talked about getting a puppy for a while and we both wanted one but we were going to wait a little while longer. That day we were going to go swimming but I suggested stopping by the shelter to pet the dogs and just look around for a minute then we could go to the pool, so my fiancé being the amazing guy he is agreed and drove us there. We went right to the dogs and the minute we saw Galaxy and played with her for a few minutes we fell in love.

Aeva's Story

We adopted Aeva on July 31, 2015. She had been at the shelter for a little over a month. She has become the Queen Bee at our home. She settled right in after just a few minutes, and has quickly won the hearts of all of our friends and family. She is so patient with my daughters and our dogs. We couldn't imagine life without her and we are so so grateful that you brought her into our lives!! Thank you so much.

Mesa's Story

Mesa pic
In March of 2015 we came to the Humane Society so our daughter could adopt a dog. In the small dog room, farthest kennel back on the left was a little chihuahua mix (we think part husky as well.) The Humane Society named her "Sandy." She arrived three days before from L.A. and was listed as five or six years old. No information came with her from L.A. She wasn't barking or whining, just full of excitement, wagging her tail and standing up against the gate in hopes we would come her way, and we did.

Zoey's Story

When we first met Zoey, we thought she was adorable. We have taken her camping and what hound wouldn't enjoy all of those smells! LOL. She had been adopted 4 other times and she is only a year old. I know that she was misunderstood. She is so lovable that she just wants to be petted and touched. She is a handful and still needs a lot of work but she is here to stay. She runs full throttle in the back yard and loves to sleep in the sun. The biggest problem with her is she steals food from anywhere that she can reach.

Tootsie's Story

Tootsie pic
We adopted Tootsie on July 31st, 2015. We had her on trial for a few weeks prior and fell in love. We named her Tootsie because she is so sweet. She fits in perfectly with my husband, me and our dog Boo Radley. She is a sweet, timid girl that loves to be loved on. She is a professional sleeper, loves to be tucked into a blanket and holds the title for "Best Snore" in our house. Her pink belly with black spots remind me of a mini cow and is totally adorable.

Simba's Story

I found this guy at Petsmart and fell in love with him right away! He was all smiles and quite the show off. When I started reading his information sheet I noticed the Humane Society gave him the name Kelly. I knew right then it must have been destiny as that is my name. LOL!! He fit perfect into our family. Lots of energy, and a cuddle bug. Thank you for bringing him to Pet smart that day!! We love our new fur baby ❤

We found out he's ticklish!

Star's Story

Star pic
I got my sweet Star December 2014. I had another bunny named Snuggles and he needed a companion. So when I went to the Humane Society I was specifically looking for a friend for him. I looked at all the bunnies and all of them were nippy or already had a companion. All except star. She came right up to me when I opened her cage and started licking me. I knew she was the one! That night I got a tote and she slept in my rooms with me. She actually ended up on my bed with me because I was so happy to have her!

Ryuk's Story

Ryuk pic
Ryuk is adapting very well to his new home. He loves to watch me play video games and often times he will try to take the controller away from me by laying on it.
The Vet said he can tell the kitty is well loved. His favorite food is Blue Buffalo Kitten Food mixed with whitefish and sardines.

Pooka's Story

We adopted this amazing pit from the humane society a couple months ago and she is just the best. I had some slight concerns due to her size and breed and we have small children, kittens, and a small dog. But she is nothing but gentle. The kids run with her, pull her, push her, and kiss her. She doesn't care- it's all the same to her. She is so gentle with the newborn kittens we had and is the sweet protector we wanted her to be.
