March 26th and April 16th Day Camp for 3rd and 4th Graders: Animal Yoga!

Campers will get to learn/interact with some of our small animals such as; Chinchillas, Guinea Pigs and Rats! Campers will participate in an interactive animal-themed yoga class taught by a certified yoga instructor, Sarah Bly with Kidding Around Yoga! Campers will expand their knowledge about cat behavior and get to spend time making treats and providing enrichment to our furry residents. The overall goal of this camp is to give children a hands-on understanding of how to interact with different types of animals and provide them with the tools that strengthen the humane animal bond.

March 27th and April 17th Day Camp for 5th and 6th Graders: Animal Advocacy!

Campers will get to learn about some of the issues facing the animal welfare world and what they can do to become advocates while learning how to interact with a variety of animals. Campers will get to learn dog body language and the importance of positive reinforcement training, then put their skills to the test by practicing what they've learned with some of our shelter dogs. The overall goal of this camp is to provide participants with the resources necessary to become animal advocates. They will also learn the benefits and importance of teaching our pets through positive reinforcement training.
