The following was submitted by Young Subaru highlighting the great work our partners do in the community.
Young Subaru gathered with many other stores in the Young Automotive Group and had a food pantry parade in April 2020. This was created to help the local food banks and those in need during the uncertain times of COVID 19. Stores drove through neighborhoods picking up non-perishable food items and the local community placed donations on their curbs for us to pick up plus keeping within the standards of social distancing. Combined with Davis, Morgan, Weber, and Cache Valley we were able to donate almost 23,000 pounds of food together and all the cash donations that were pouring in at that time. Most routes we went on had fire trucks and police cars from local municipalities with sirens blaring and lights flashing which added a fun element to the day. The support given from local education foundations and city leaders was huge because they helped spread the word and many employees and their families spent the day volunteering. We received local and national media coverage which helped encourage people to do good! We are proud to be involved with such a great automotive group that gets involved with the community and helps support where needed.
