MURRAY, UTAH (March 11, 2017) -- Pet adoption special, contest and photo opportunity with official Salt Lake Comic Con cosplayers March 11, 2017.


SALT LAKE CITY, March 10, 2017 – Salt Lake Comic Con, Subaru of America, Inc., the Wasatch Front Subaru Retailers and the Humane Society of Utah (HSU) announced a red carpet adoption event on Saturday, March 11, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Humane Society of Utah located at 4242 S. 300 W. in Murray, Utah. The event will include a pet adoption special and photo opportunity with official Salt Lake Comic Con cosplayers.


Eligible adopters will save $20 off the regular adoption fee for dogs and cats six months and older Saturday, March 11, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Regular HSU adoption process and policies apply for all pet adoptions.


The public is welcome to visit the Humane Society of Utah Adoption Center March 11, from noon to 2 p.m. for photo opportunities with official Comic Con cosplayers on the red carpet.


“We’re excited to name the Humane Society of Utah as our official charity of 2017,” said Dan Farr, Salt Lake Comic Con founder and show producer. “The HSU provides such important services to our community and pet friends, and we want to play a major part in supporting the important work that they do. Our fans have always been supportive of us and the charities we work with, we know that they’ll step up to the challenge of raising money and awareness for the Humane Society of Utah.”


The public may also enter to win a FanX17 VIP Package, which includes a pair of VIP passes and two $50 Photo Op Vouchers. The winner will be announced at 2 p.m.


Adoptable pets will make their walk down the red carpet in hopes of finding a new home.

Salt Lake Comic Con FanXperience 2017 (FanX™) will be held March 17-18 at the Salt Palace Convention Center. Fans can purchase tickets to FanX17 at a 25 percent discount off regular pricing with the promotion code FANX17HS March 5-18, and 15 percent of the purchase will be donated to the HSU.
