Freshpet features cats from the Humane Society of Utah in video asking which pet is better
For the second time, shelter pets from the Humane Society of Utah have been featured in a Freshpet video to highlight shelter and rescue pets in a positive manner and help reduce the stigma of shelter animals as unwanted or less than perfect pets. In the video released online March 30, 2015, “Cats vs Dogs: Which Pet Is Better?” the question regarding which is the better pet is approached in a humorously deductive manner.
Shelter puppies and cats from the Humane Society of Utah were featured in the Freshpet video, “Cats vs Dogs: Which Pet Is Better?” Four cats are still available for adoption: Roxie, Molly, Cleo and Bigglesworth. The video can be viewed at http://freshpet.com/cats-vs-dogs-pet-best/.
For this video, Freshpet will donate $1 up to $1,000 to Best Friends Animal Society and the Humane Society of Utah for every entry in their #CatsvsDogs contest.
“It’s always amazing when another company brings more attention to our shelter and helps our animals find new homes,” said Lisa Burningham, HSU volunteer coordinator who watched over the animals on set.
Issues comparing cats and dogs to ascertain which is better included questions regarding which is cuter, a better workout buddy, quieter, easier to bathe, better at hiding, more patient, less destructive and overall more helpful. The results were close and the debate is left to the public to answer on their own.
Freshpet is the first company to bring fresh, refrigerated food for pets to the U.S. and has advertised their product through cute and funny commercials and videos. The first Freshpet video to feature pets from the Humane Society of Utah, “Freshpet Holiday Feast – 13 Dogs and 1 Cat Eating with Human Hands” has received over 8,210,621 views on YouTube to this date.
