Abba's Story

You are here

We adopted Abba (you’ll have her as Blossom in your records) on March 29th. We were given all sorts of warnings about her behavior problems. Apparently, the first family who adopted her (and returned her) had problems with food aggression, excessive barking, and just general naughtiness. I thought it only fair to update you with what I have experienced. In my home, she has been nothing short of amazing. To be fair, my home is exceptionally quiet and calm, and it’s perfect for her. She’s quiet and well mannered. In the 5 months we’ve had her, she’s not had 1 accident in the house. She only barks when she’s excited, which we usually instigate. Not only does she get along well with every person she’s ever come into contact with, but she also does great with other dogs. She goes to daycare once or twice a week at K9 Lifeline. I believe the socialization and structure are good for her confidence and happiness. She has learned so much in such a short time, and has really come out of her shell. She is the sweetest, most loving dog you could ever want, and I can no longer imagine my life without her.

I would love you to share our story with all of your colleagues. I’m sure you all enjoy hearing about the happy outcomes. Also, there are lots more pictures of her in my blog post here:

I want to thank you and everyone who does the hard work of rescuing these sweet animals. In this case, Abba is the perfect dog, and we are her perfect family. She will always be loved and cared for in our home. If you have any questions for me, please don’t hesitate to contact me.

Thanks again,
