I actually went to HSU trying to adopt a dachshund but someone had already adopted him. So I decided to walk around little town and look at all he other doggies and that's went I saw my Bella, it was love at first sight. We instantly connected, although she was shy at first, she got comfortable when I took her for a walk and that's the moment I knew I had to take her home with me. It's been a week now and this little one has changed my life completely, I'm so grateful for the help that I received from the employees at the Humane Society.

We lost our dog of sixteen years last November and didn't know if we could find a dog just as good and sweet to fill the void his loss left. Nearly six months later, we decided to check out the Humane Society and see if we could find another dog. Our kids were excited at the prospect. My husband went down three times and the third time Bella caught his eye. She won him over. She is great with our kids and even loves our cat (also from the Humane Society). She loves people. Every morning she is so excited for everyone to wake up and greet her.
