Dear Humane Society of Utah,

We just wanted to share Milo's story with you. Last year my husband decided he really wanted to get a Ragdoll kitten. They are very expensive and I was not sure about having a cat in our home. What if we were allergic to the cat or it destroyed our furniture? We decided it may be good idea to get a "test cat" first to see what it was like to own a cat before we went out and spent a ton of money on a Ragdoll kitten.

So in July of 09 we visited the Utah humane society in Murry with the intention of finding our "test cat". As we searched through the numerous cats one really caught our eye. He was a small gray and white cat that was very timid and shy. When one of my children held him he curled up and fell asleep in his arms. We were all smitten. We took a family vote and decided the small cat, now named Milo by the kids, would be the one we would adopt and take home.

I am happy to say that it has now been over a year since we brought Milo home. He has gone from "test cat" to love of our lives. He is a perfect gentleman and has only felt the need to scratch our couch one time. He now prefers his scratch post. He is affectionate and cuddly and we can not image our lives without him. As for the Ragdoll kitten, we decided we didn't need to get one because we already had the best cat in the world! Thank you Humane society for helping us add such a wonderful addition to our family!
