Just wanted to drop a note and say THANK YOU!

At Christmas 5 yrs ago I wanted to get my niece, Morgan, a cat. She had wanted one so badly and it was all she could talk about. I went to the Humane Society and saw lots of cute little kittens that would be PERFECT for Morgan. But I noticed that the kittens had all the attention. Around the room were cages filled with adult cats that were hunkered down and awaiting their fate.

As I walked around the room a couple times I noticed one cat kept reaching its paw out at me each time I passed. I wasn't looking for an adult cat ... I was looking for a kitten so I kept passing it. Finally I couldn't stand it. I pulled "Buddy", a 5 yr old adult cat from the cage and spent a couple minutes in the room with him. Then I called my brother and asked if Morgan would "accept" an adult cat rather than a kitten. He assured me that she would.

It was so cute to me that every time I walked by he would reach out to me that I figured he was picking ME rather than me picking HIM. I quickly made the arrangements and took Buddy home to my niece. She was so excited! We went to Petsmart and picked out all the supplies and she went about the business of making Buddy feel at home.

After about 2 weeks it became apparent that someone in the family had allergies and the cat had to go. My brother called to tell me the bad news. After feeling the "connection" with Buddy I told him not to take him back to the Humane Society but to send him to me in Miami. That was almost 5 yrs ago and I have to say THANK YOU! Buddy is such a WONDERFUL cat. So full of love and so sweet. I can't imagine my life without him! Morgan still comes to comes to visit Buddy and he is still her cat ... he just happens to live with me (and 2 other rescued cats and a rescued Doberman).

Thank you Humane Society for the happiness you've brought to us (Buddy, Morgan and myself ... actually and Tigger, Charlie and Luc who are Buddy's friends and rescued brothers).

Cheers!
Robert.
