My husband and I adopted little Sparky from the humane society in January 2010. I still believe to this day there was a reason we got this dog. We had talked about getting a dog for a while but our living circumstances were not the best as we were living in a basement apartment. However, one day in January I was sitting in the library of my pet friendly college when a girl walked in with a little puppy. Right then and there I knew it was the time for us to get a dog. Surprisingly it took little convincing of my husband. We agreed to go that Saturday to look. Luck fell upon us when he got off work early Friday and we were able to go. Immediately I fell in love with all the puppies there and was looking around the room finding it impossible to choose when my Husband picked up little Sparky. I hadn't even seen him in his cage somehow I just passed over him. The moment my husband took him out I knew he was the one! They bonded instantly. I was a little hesitant as he was much more hyper than I would have liked but the look on both of their faces was priceless and Sparky
came home with us. It is a decision I will never regret. Sparky has me wrapped around his little paws. He is one of the most pampered pooches I have seen and is a joy to be around. He has the biggest heart of any dog I have ever met and is always willing to give me kisses and cuddles. Even the vet comments on how friendly and snuggly he is! Currently he is sleeping in one of his many dog beds under the Christmas tree sleeping waiting for Santa to bring him lots of toys *which he is ;)*. It has been almost a year with Sparky and I am amazed every day at the blessing of him and so grateful to the humane society that took good care of him so we could be blessed. I wish I could take home all of his friends! But I am truly grateful for the work everyone does at the Humane Society of Utah bringing such love into so many people and animals lives. Thank you!
