After deciding it was time to add to our household - our family visited the Salt Lake Humane Society Shelter to chose a cat. From the very first visit, our kids set their hearts on a black cat named HOOFOO. Hoofoo’s information was limited – only stating that he was a stray of about 3 years old. He had been there for a few months and was marked down to just $10. We realized he was probably not going to be able to wait for a home much longer. Your staff helped us to determine if he would be ok living with our 2 dogs and on the 4th visit, we brought him home.

Since that day in January, Hoofoo – now known as Bob – has brought our family so much happiness, we just had to let you know. We recently read that black animals have a harder time being placed than the more interesting variety, and thought Bob should be a poster child to improve that statistic. Bob fit into our family like he was meant to be ours. He is the perfect cat – relaxed and cozy, curious and playful. He is gentle with our children and tolerant of our goofy dogs. I have also attached photos so you can see for yourself what a handsome cat he is!

We are so happy to have him and thank you all for your work and for helping us pick the perfect cat!
