GREAT "JANUARY WHITE SALE" IN PROGRESS
AT HUMANE SOCIETY!

From now through the end of the month, the Humane Society of Utah is having a "January White Sale," during which time any dog or cat (except for certain special animals) whose coat is at least 50% white can be adopted for half the usual fee. Says Executive Director Gene Baierschmidt, "Now that the hectic holiday season is over, this is a great time to introduce a new pet into the family. Normal household schedules have resumed, people will have more time to devote to getting the pet accustomed to new surroundings, and there's a lot less stress and commotion. The adoption fee at the Humane Society includes the animal's spay or neuter surgery, the first shots, de-worming, a bag of kibble, and a leash for dogs or a cardboard carrier for cats. This is a great way to start off the new year, for both the Humane Society's animals and the people who take advantage of this special adoption fee."

Sale prices for mostly-white canines and felines in January are as follows:
Puppies four months of age and younger: $65
Adult dogs (five months of age and older): $37.50
Kittens four months of age and younger: $35
Adult cats (five months of age and older): $24.50

The Humane Society, located at 4242 S 300 West, is open for adoptions from 10 AM to 7 PM Monday through Saturday and noon to 4 PM on Sundays. For more information, please call
