PRESS RELEASE
RELEASE DATE: Immediately (December 5, 2005)
WARM ANIMALS’ HEARTS WITH "OPERATION WARM PAWS!"
From Thursday, December 8th, through Saturday, December 10th, the Humane Society of Utah will be teaming with 105.7 FM radio, "The River," in a marathon adoption drive aimed at finding good new homes for at least 150 shelter animals within that three-day period. The station will be broadcasting from 6 AM to10 PM on Thursday and Friday, and from 10 AM to 10 PM on Saturday, live from the HSU facility located at 4242 South 300 West, and the animals are all looking forward to being on the air.
"Operation Warm Paws" is the name of the campaign, and warming a lot of hearts - those of both people and animals - is the name of the game. The Humane Society is urging the public to tune in to The River during these special three days, and encourages people to come to the shelter to give one (or more!) of its many wonderful animals a second chance at life, love, and a caring family.
While the animals are warm, loved, and well-fed at the shelter, Christmas would be even happier for them if each one could go to his or her very own home. Nothing in the world can take the place of that warm, toasty feeling of BELONGING - the very best present of all!
At the Humane Society of Utah and The River, warming hearts and paws is what this season is all about. For more information, please call 261-2919.
