"DOG DAYS OF AUGUST" SPECIAL AT HUMANE SOCIETY

    Throughout the month of August the Humane Society of Utah is offering a "Dog Days" special promotion in which certain dogs can be adopted for the low price of only $37.50. This is one half of the
regular $75 fee for adult dogs, and it INCLUDES the animal's spay or neuter surgery, de-worming, the first distemper immunization, a leash, and a complete physical examination at any one of 45 participating
private veterinarians along the Wasatch Front.

     "The dogs that will be available for this special price include black dogs and animals two years of age and older," explains HSU Executive Director Gene Baierschmidt. "These would all make wonderful, loving companions, but they're so often overlooked by people who only want puppies and the 'eye candy' breeds. We're trying to give the less flashy dogs the chance they deserve to find good homes with someone who'll appreciate their many fine qualities."

     The Humane Society is located at 4242 South 300 West, and adoptions are open from 10 AM to 7 PM Monday through Saturday and from noon to 4 PM on Sundays. For more information, please call 261-2919.
