HUMANE SOCIETY BEGINS HOLIDAY FUND DRIVE FOR THE ANIMALS
Once again the official season of love and good will is here, and the Humane Society of Utah is asking members of the community to include the homeless animals of the shelter in their plans by participating in the special holiday gift drive through December 31st.
People can go to the HSU website at www.utahhumane.org where they can view needed items on our Wish List, or make on-line monetary donations through the Network for Good link. "It’s never been easier to make a paws-itive difference for a shelter animal at this special time of year," says HSU Executive Director Gene Baierschmidt. "We’re asking the public to help provide some holiday cheer for those animals who are staying with us until they find good permanent homes of their own."
A yuletide tree for the animals will be in the main lobby of the HSU shelter located at 4242 South 300 West, and donations can be put under the tree Monday through Saturday 10 AM to 7 PM and Sunday from noon to 4 PM all through December and the New Year. All donations received during the holidays will guarantee our animals a happy season and will help to stock our shelves for the coming year as well.
"We deeply appreciate the kind support that so many people show us on a regular basis, and hope that we can count on even more people to join them in giving the Humane Society’s animals their happiest holiday season ever," says Mr. Baierschmidt.
