POSE THOSE PAWS WITH SANTA CLAUS
Once again, the Humane Society of Utah is holding its annual "Picture Your Pet with Santa" event, in which people can bring their favorite non-human family members to the shelter at 4242 South 300 West to get their photos taken with Santa Paws — uh, Claus — himself. Pictures will be taken on two different weekends, November 3rd and 4th and November 10th and 11th .
Now in its twentieth year, this is one of the Humane Society's most popular activities. All work is done by a professional photographer and a variety of color packages, including Christmas cards featuring the pets' photos, are available. The cost is only $25 for two 5x7 color portraits, and other packages are also offered. Pets must arrive on a leash or in a carrier.
In the past, Santa has willingly snuggled up in front of the camera with iguanas, cockatoos, rats and even llamas, as well as the usual assortment of cats and dogs. When interviewed by phone at the North Pole prior to his departure for Salt Lake City, he said that he’s looking forward to this year’s cavalcade of creatures. "All the animals are great," he said. "Maybe I should even get a group shot of Rudolph and the rest of the guys to hang on my own wall."
To make an appointment, or for more information, please call 261-2919, ex. 201.
