GIVE SHELTER ANIMALS A HAPPY ‘HOWL’-IDAY

Once again the official season of love and good will is here, and the Humane Society of Utah is asking members of the community to include the homeless animals of the shelter in their special plans by participating in the "Howl-iday" gift drive from December 1st through December 31st.

"We're asking the public to help provide some holiday cheer for those animals who are staying with us until they find good permanent homes of their own," says HSU Executive Director Gen Baierschmidt. "We need donations of cat litter, paper towels, and cleaning supplies like bleach, detergent, and glass cleaner, as well as clean used towels and blankets." He added that monetary donations are of course in season all year round.

The animals' Christmas tree will be in the main lobby of the HSU shelter located at 4242 South 300 West, and donations can be put under the tree Monday through Saturday 10 AM to 7 PM and Sunday from noon to 4 PM. All donations received during the holidays will guarantee our animals a merry Christmas, and will help to stock our shelves for the coming year as well.

"We deeply appreciate the kind support that so many people show us on a regular basis, and hope tat we can count on even more people to join them in giving the Humane Society's animals their happiest "howl-iday" ever," says Mr. Baierschmidt
