This weekend one of the most exciting events of the social season will take place at the Humane Society of Utah’s shelter located at 4242 South 300 West, at least as far as the four-footed crowd is concerned. For three fabulous days, approximately 200 of HSU’s irresistible cats, dogs, bunnies, gerbils, and other furry residents will be available for adoption, both inside the building and also in a shady tent set up on the lawns.

KITTEN TORTURER TO BE SENTENCED MONDAY --- HUMANE SOCIETY URGES MAXIMUM PENALTY Thursday, May 17, 2007
At 10:00 AM on Monday, May 21st, Clint Wilkes will be sentenced by Judge Peggy Acomb in Room S4200 of the Salt Lake County Justice of the Peace Court located at 2001 S. State Street, and the Humane Society of Utah has been encouraging the public to urge Judge Acomb to impose the maximum possible penalty - six months in jail and a $1,000 fine - on him.

HUMANE SOCIETY OFFERS SPECIAL ON HEARTWORM TESTING Monday, May 07, 2007
Starting Tuesday, May 8th, and continuing through the end of the month, the Humane Society of Utah will be offering heartworm tests for dogs at a special price of only $16 per dog instead of the regular $21 fee at the Society's clinic. The HSU clinic, located at 4242 South 300 West, is open from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM Tuesday through Friday and 9:00 AM to noon on Saturdays for this service, and no appointment is necessary.
