"APPALLED" HUMANE SOCIETY OFFERS THREE SEPARATE $5,000 REWARDS IN RASH OF ANIMAL KILLINGS AND INJURIES

Officials of the Humane Society of Utah today not only raised the original amount of the reward they are offering in the case of the ten cows and calves killed in Tooele, but is also offering additional rewards of $5,000 each for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for shooting two pet dogs and a pig in Kanab, as well as the poisoning of several prairie dogs in Cedar City.

"We are appalled by this sudden rampage of violence against animals," said HSU President and General Counsel Craig S. Cook. "It’s amazing to see so much cruelty occur against such a diverse group of animals within the space of two days. In addition to rewards also being offered by other agencies, the Humane Society will pay $5,000 in each case for information that brings the sick individuals responsible for this mayhem to justice."

Anyone having such information should call the Humane Society’s Cruelty Investigation department at 261-2919, ex. 210.
