Soft, fluffy, adorable, box-trainable, and already spayed or neutered, all of our rabbits would make wonderful companions for any household. "We urged the public not to get bunnies or other traditional Easter animals as an impulsive act right before the holiday," explains HSU Operations Manager Carlene Wall, "but now that the fuss has all died down, people may want to consider the many benefits of bringing a rabbit into a family that is prepared and willing to care properly for him or her."

The usual adoption fee for a rabbit at the Humane Society is $25, but all month they can be obtained for only $15. "Bunnies are a lot more fun than many people realize," says Ms. Wall. "They’re friendly, quiet, affectionate, and playful. And there is absolutely nothing more appealing than those big brown eyes, long ears, and gorgeous fur coats that they all come with as standard equipment.
