OCTOBER PET FEST

Come join the fun on October 12 through October 14 at the Humane Society of Utah’s October Pet Fest.  This three day event will be filled with fun for humans and their animal companions. The Pet Fest will be held at the Humane Society of Utah’s adoption center (4242 South 300 West in Murray).

The hours will be

Fri October 12 Noon-7:00 PM

Sat October 13 10:00 AM- 7:00 PM

Sun October 14 Noon-4:00 PM

 

Looking for a new pet?  Looking for a companion for your current pet?  There will be many animals up for adoptions. We will have dogs out on our south lawn as well as inside the shelter.  Also, in the shelter there are many wonderful cats looking for home. Want something smaller?   We have rabbits, and rodents looking for a place to call home too.

 

The Pet Fest will include a Course a’ Lure obstacle lure course.  Dogs enjoy a good chase and this course lets them chase a lure over jumps, hurdles and through tires, tunnels and chutes.  Bring your dog down and let him try out this fun course.  The course will be operating during all hours of the Pet Fest. Want to find out what your animals think about?  Come see the pet psychic that will be at the event.  They will be here all three days to help you understand your pet.

 

On Saturday October 13 Mary Norton Pet Massage therapy practitioner will be at the event from 10:30 AM -2:30 PM.   Mary was recently featured on KSL News and will be giving demonstrations on how to relieve your pet stress and help them relax.  She will do a dog demonstration outside on the east side of the shelter at 11:00 AM and will do a cat demonstration in the shelter auditorium at 2:00 PM.  She will also be available to do massage on your pets.

 

The trainers from “Handle with Care” will be on-site on Saturday to answers dog behavior questions.  If you are having trouble getting your canine to obey you come down and see them.  They can make your life and that of your canine companion much happier.

 

FM100 will be doing a live broadcast from the event on Saturday from 10:00 AM -1:00 PM.  Come down and meet the DJ and crew of one of Utah’s top rated radio stations.

 

There will be many animal friendly vendors all three days to help make your pets life more enjoyable.
